‘Played the course off yellow tees, first time at this venue and never heard of. Very pleasantly surprise. Lovely layout very enjoyable round off yellows, all the course was in good condition. Greens recently done but very impressive how fast some greens had recovered. Love finding these hidden gems, definitely worth a round. Clubhouse and staff very welcoming. Nice to play a course with no walkers on!’

I know you had the club championship the day before but I was amazed how good everything looked and played. The club have clearly invested a huge amount of time and money and I can tell you that it really does show. The course was immaculate and is a credit to your green keeping team, it just seems to get better each time I visit. I also have to say that we all enjoyed the Brickendon burgers for lunch, so well done all round!’

‘Have wanted to play Brickendon Grange for quite a while, and it did not disappoint. Heard great things about the course and club, and all true. Lovely clubhouse, with a big modern bar and eating area, in an old building. Good food. Lovely welcome from lady pro who couldn’t do too much for us. Appreciated! Good practice facilities. Course was interesting and a challenge (3 hcap + 15 hcap), including various doglegs, and 17th hole, The Ace of Herts, but highlight were the putting greens. Summer quality at the end of February. So pure. Can’t understand how they do this – hats off, and well done!!’

‘The Bedwetters’ Golfing Society recently held its annual golfing away day at BGCC. It turned out to be a really good venue with a great combination of challenging golf (it is easy to see why some of the holes have won prizes) and excellent food. Eating in the Oak Room was an added bonus and show-cased the best of having a modern, attractive bar and patio area backed up with traditional old-style golf rooms. Our group went home very happy!’

‘Course was in top condition considering the amount of rain we have had, beautiful greens bunkering and fairways plenty of ball washers plus the boards on each tee gave clear accurate information about the hole before you played it. Practice facilities are second to none but you do need to pick up free balls on the range. Staff where friendly and most helpful on the day of the tournament and my practice round. Shame the kitchen wasn’t open till 9.00am I was looking forward to a bacon roll but it didn’t affect my day. Beautiful venue and great staff would recommend this golf course to all.’
